Ercb Announces Changes To Stakeholder Engagement Requirements

September 27, 2011

On September 1, 2011, the Alberta Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) announced the release of a new edition of Directive 056: Energy Development Applications and Schedules, which became effective September 26, 2011, and replaces all previous editions. The full text is available from the ERCB at www.ercb.ca.

The new edition includes revisions to Section 2, on Participant Involvement. Some of the changes include clarification of notification requirements and timing of project status; clarification of the role of ERCB Community and Aboriginal Relations staff; clarification about ERCB First Nations consultation; and updated references to current ERCB EnerFAQs.
