Helping ICO2N to explain carbon capture and storage to Canadians

Carbon capture and storage – CCS – is a process that has significant potential to help reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) at industrial sites, transporting it via pipelines, and injecting it into storage sites deep underground.  It is also a topic of some public discussion and debate that is likely to continue to grow throughout 2010 as demonstration and pilot projects are started in Alberta to confirm technologies and economics for future large-scale CCS development.
