We are pleased to announce that on January 8^th, Communica and Triton Environmental signed a Memorandum of Understanding with respect to a strategic alliance between our two firms. This is a great opportunity for Communica and our clients, as we partner with a firm that has 20 years of environmental expertise and experience with a range projects throughout western Canada.

This 2010 agreement is designed to develop a framework of cooperation between Communica and Triton. As we provide complementary services to similar clients, there is a benefit to collaborating on business development, project work and related activities. By drawing on the broad range of professional services offered by the respective firms, Triton and Communica can make a stronger service offering to existing and prospective clients.

Triton’s repertoire includes a wide range of scientific, technical, and management expertise that merge to provide practical environmental solutions. Specifically, Triton can provide environmental impact assessments, environmental planning, management and monitoring, biological and ecological inventories, regulatory applications, environmental audits, water resources engineering, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services.

Helping ICO2N to explain carbon capture and storage to Canadians

Carbon capture and storage – CCS – is a process that has significant potential to help reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) at industrial sites, transporting it via pipelines, and injecting it into storage sites deep underground. It is also a topic of some public discussion and debate that is likely to continue to grow throughout 2010 as demonstration and pilot projects are started in Alberta to confirm technologies and economics for future large-scale CCS development.
